Full-stack development website for a blog site for performance articles, resources and doctoral updates

Wesley Kuijpers

I built Wesley Kuijpers' entire scientific platform in one month. Solo. From concept to launch as a freelancer, delivering what agencies take teams to accomplish.

The platform performs well: 92/100 performance score, 0ms total blocking time, and 1.7s First Contentful Paint. Accessibility scored 99/100, ensuring Wesley's research reaches everyone who needs it.

The minimalist layout serves a clear purpose. Scientific content needs a clean, distraction-free environment, so readers can focus on what matters, the research itself.

I functioned as both designer and developer throughout the project. This streamlined the process and maintained consistency from concept to completion.

For the technical foundation, I chose Next.js with Tailwind for the frontend and Strapi CMS for the backend. These technologies provide a good balance of performance, flexibility, and ease of maintenance. The result is a complete scientific platform built in one month that loads quickly, ranks well (91 SEO score), and follows best practices. It demonstrates how focused development can efficiently serve scientific communication.

Scientific blog website easy to manage

"Mike had built a custom website in one month. The service was excellent, and Mike proposed fantastic ideas to make the website more efficient and easier to access for clients, many of which I had not even thought of implementing. I recommend UAV to everyone interested in having a unique and impactful website."
